Wuuu huuuu !! We meet again great buddy
I want to tell you a story, a real story of my attempts to be an entrepreneur. This was my first attempt.
Not long after I joined an entrepreneur training I tried to build my own business. At that time the idea of toddler moslem fashion was quite new. Nobody ever did this before. So I thought I will make a great fortune from it.
I asked my wive to help me with this business. She has a very great sense on fashion alike. She did almost all of the work and I did the think tanker. I felt sorry for her, because she had to go to a far place just to have cheap fabric. My town, Bandung, is a well known place for cheap fashions and fabrics in Indonesia. She had to bring our children too. And that was frustrating her, because our children cried on the way to the cheap market. She was forced to walk by the transport driver since the sound of baby annoying him.
Anyway, my wive managed to buy cheap fabrics and we designed the clothings. After the design ready we went to a tailor for ordering the clothings. The cost of tailor was quite big. It consumed about 50% of the whole cost. After a few weeks of waiting the clothings were ready.
Then we had to sell the clothing which we thought we can use our relation with someone that has a network of consumer. But this strategy was not successful. Only one out of 20s clothing was sold. And after a month of waiting, we decided to give away the clothings to tsunami victims.
Now we know that we can not depended on someone else, specially when you just started your business. You have to be able to sell your own product. If you can not sell your own product you might end up bankrupt. It was my parent in law that said that so many people can produce but not so many people can sell.
I hope I can do better for my next attempt to be an entrepreneur. Same to you, Buddy
