Live in a very remote area, makes me miss my hometown, Bandung. I’ve been living in Bandung for 12 years since 1994 before I went to Seri Iskandar, Malaysia. What do I miss a large from Bandung? Fiuh, there are so many things to miss from Bandung.
First, I love the weather. It is not hot or cold, just a nice weather. The temperature will be around 18 to 23 degree Celcius, almost every day. Here in Seri Iskandar, you can have 28 to 35, which is a very hot environment event in the night.
Second, of course the food. Bandung, is one of the most food rich places in the world. You can have so many delicious food around. You name it, from traditional local food, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, or western food available. Of course the main interest is Indonesian traditional food such as Pempek, Batagor, Ikan bakar, Sambel Terasi (Yummmy), Brownies Kukus, and some chinese derived food such as Siomay, Mie Bakso Yamin, Mie Ayam, and a lot more.
It is not hard to find your favorite food around Bandung. Bandung is also well known for its fashion. There are factory outlets around Bandung that always full at week end. People from Jakarta, Bogor, or some Java region come to Bandung to find beautiful clothes at a very cheap price.
You can easily find interesting places around Bandung. If you want to experience a strawberry farming, you can go to Kebun strawberry at Cimahi or Ledeng. You can do tea walk exercise at Maribaya or Lembang. If you want to try to play angklung, you can go to Saung Angklung Mang Udjo. Some museums also available, ranging from geology museum, batik museum, or event we have Barli Museum which offers you a contemporary art exhibition.
Near Bandung, we have an (almost 
) active mountain, Tangkuban Perahu. Near it, there is a hot water spring called Ciater. The scenery is very beautiful and a lot better than any available travel destination in Malaysia.
Hopefully, I can finish my study earlier and go back to Indonesia as soon as possible. I think I am going to travel around Indonesia to taste the beauty of it. Just wait and see.
